At Sahastraaksha , when we acquire the Rudraksha Beads. They are cured by soaking them in mustard oil for a few days so that the beads firm up or get more hardened. This is essentially done to enhance the longevity of the Rudraksha, it can last a person’s lifetime. It can also be handed over the next generations for getting the desired results.

Generally speaking, if not cured and hardened the beads tend to crack up due to body heat of the wearer, environmental heat or accidental impacts of any kind. There is also a possibility, of insects eating into the organic matter of the bead, therefore this process of soaking in mustard oil is a necessity. Hence , the look of the Rudraksha beads displayed on our site would vary from other sites.

Being a completely natural product, and a fruit of organic origin, the color and texture of each bead would vary from other beads. This is natural phenomenon, as variety and imperfection are the unsaid rules of nature. That’s what makes every product of nature unique. You will observe imperfections in color, the texture, inconsistency in the mukhis or demarcating lines on the surface area of the bead. This again validates it’s originality.

We have an exclusive collection of multiple beads of each variety which have size (length and breadth) variations by a few millimeters.

One sample bead of each size has been put on display with it’s price to avoid overcrowding on the website. Individual size measurements of each bead would be conveyed to the buyer with a company authenticity certificate at the point of sale.
